The Fn key in Acer computers can be used with the up-down and left-right arrows keys for various functions including increasing or decreasing the brightness of the screen, changing the volume of the speakers or office software shortcuts. If you find that only certain Fn key combinations work but not all, the issue may be due to a corrupted. Before, I had issues with my touchpad, but then when I upgrade from Win and installed the latest drivers from Acer for , it was fixed, but then it gave me new issue, which is the fn + up/down keys and F8 for adjusting volume just stopped working. Under Windows 7 the FN-functions were provided by the Acer "Launch Manager" (C:\Program Files (x86)\Launch Manager\www.doorway.ru). In the following week, Acer post all the updated drivers, which of course i installed. Now,as everyone else, am "Upgraded" to Win After. I have a laptop Acer and my FN key don't work. Have you tried uninstalling the keyboard driver in the device manager and then restarting. I assume its a driver issue, so if anyone could point me in the way of FN key drivers or something like that.
